The documentary Running Dry on the global water crisis had its Hollywood Premièreâ at the Los Angeles Short Film Festival on 7th September, 2005. 

The film Running Dry is an information rather education project of the Chronicles Group of United States Of America. It aims to raise awareness about the global water crisis. The project was inspired by the work of the late U.S. Senator Paul Simon .

The documentary was produced early in 2005 and had been screened to members and staff of the U.S. Congress on World Water Day this year in Beijing.

American Water, a subsidiary of multinational RWE, is the main funder of this documentary.
